AS THE MORNING SUN RISES OVER TOPEKA, YOU CAN SEE JOHN VALLEY DRIVE THE STREETS OF ITS NEIGHBORHOODS. |
|
s John Valley sets out on his morning drive through the streets of Topeka, he is witness to the hustle and hum of an awakening city all around him. Sprinklers kick on in Clarion. Homeowners walk to the curb to pick up the morning paper in Westboro. Joggers and dogwalkers pepper the streets in Briarwood and Knollwood. As he drives, sipping the morning's first steaming cup of coffee, John can't help but smile. A new day has begun.

ANYTHING BUT ROUTINE |
|
This is John's routine. It's a morning ritual of sorts that was passed down to him from the previous generation. John's father, Chuck, started a successful real estate company in Topeka, Valley, Inc. Realtors®, more than 40 years ago. As John worked with his father and ultimately took over ownership of the business, he remained committed to the same business philosophies and objectives his father ingrained in him during his years as an understudy. Key among those objectives was a focus on the traditional values of hard work and respect. That, more than any other reason, is why John always finds time to get out and talk to people. |

A BLAST FROM THE PAST
"I see that change is all around us," John says. "Business people seem to have a different mentality now-a greater interest in the bottom line than in making a difference. I don't think that way. I know that what I do is not about homes and contract issues; it's about people and their dreams. I respect those dreams, and that's why I do all I can to understand them more clearly,"

A LITTLE DIFFERENT, A LOT BETTER
John's personal business philosophy is also rooted in his own tradition of strong family values. As a husband and father, John sees for himself the value of working professionals who still believe in and adhere to the old-fashioned practices. "Technology seems to have changed the way people conduct themselves in the business world," he says. "I think technology is a vital tool, but it is not a substitute for hands-on professionalism. I can see that very clearly, and I strive to deliver to my clients the service I would like my family to receive if the roles were reversed."

RIGHT ON PAR
Time away from the office sometimes finds John on the golf course, striving to achieve a new personal best. But more often than not, free time allows him to spend time with his wife, Stephanie, and their young sons, Bryce and Baker. If you are in the market to buy or sell a home in the Topeka area, or if you just have questions about the local market, call or e-mail John Valley. For him, providing you with the best service and results is simply A Matter of Tradition.
